for years and then I never do anything. What I need to do is get something finished even if its not good. If I want to make programs I have got to make programs.
If I don’t program how can I be a programmer. Programmers design and write computer code. And that is what I want to do. So now I have got to take action and make a program. I can do it I hope. I am sure this is not the first post where I have written that I want to program but, never program.
when I think about programming. So many languages to learn, so many programming books to read. So much I don’t know about programming. And there is also the question of do I want to spend the time I need to to become the programmer i want to?
I know I like video game, machine learning, and computer security; hacking. Can I even program a video game, can I make machine learning programs, can I hack websites.
Do I have enough time in my day to do all of those things everyday. Maybe not. What do I want to program the most? What will I get the most out of? What will I enjoy the most?
I try to do everything and then it seems that I never get anything done. If I think about it enough I will hopefully get an answer. I hope.
I want to do everything. And when I try to do everything I get nothing done. I tried a lot of programming languages and never stuck with them.
As I have written before what is the point of learning to program and making no programs. I wanted to make programs that is why I am learning to program. Its been 14 years and I have not made my own program that anybody lies.
I have not even made my own program. I need to make a project. I want to make a program. Just to say that I made one. Not that i talk much. Who would I tell that i wrote a computer program. Probably no one.
But, I want to make a program. So that is what I am going to try to do. Enough English writing its time for computer code writing.

I think making a computer program that can write songs would be fun. And there is also genetic programing. There is so much I have to learn about programming. So many exciting things.
I also want to put up a website. what that website will be about I don’t know. Or if I will ever get the website built I don’t know.
I get so excited about a lot of things. Then I realize that I have to put in the work to get good at the hobbies I want to get good at.
I think what if I had started making programs a long time ago when I got my first computer. I would be a lot further along with programming. I might be making my own programs by now.
It took me years of on and off use of blender to start making projects with that program. And now I want to program. So its time to make projects with python and pharo. I want to forget what could of been and start making projects.
I think that I am never going to be able to write my own programs. There is so much about programming that I do not know. But, I have to try. I have to try. Its what I wanted to do long before I got a computer.
I have been trying to program for years and so I am going to program. I had fun trying to solve the exercises in how to design programs. I have not finished reading the book yet, but I know I did have fun reading it. Also working with Dr. scheme was fun.
So I know I like computer programming its just that I have not done much of it. I need a project. Instead of worrying I need to start programs. Just get it made. I am sure it will be fun.
not done much of is read computer code. Mostly I just read books about my programming language flavor of the moment.
In learn python the hardway the author talks about reading code. so I did read some computer code but, then I stopped. There are other things to do I told myself.
But, if I want to program I am going ot have to read a lot of code. I don’t think there is any way around that. Maybe if I read enough code I will finally be able to understand it. It does not seem possible. I will give reading code a try and see what happens. Fingers crossed.

Then there were times I was fed up and never wanted to try to learn how to program a computer. I thought computers were boring and I wanted nothing to do with programming a computer.
I have written some of my own code but, not much of it. If I could think of coding like writing. I wanted to write songs, I wrote songs, I wanted to write fiction I wrote fiction.
I know I need to design a program before I write it. And maybe the design takes more time then the actual coding.
I know I am interested in coding computer games, machine learning, math. Now I just have to start. Even if I never write a program anyone uses at least I can say I wrote a program which as I write this now I cant say.
The program languages I want to write programs with are python, and pharo. I don’t think I will ever be a professional programmer but, at this point in my life I do want to program. So that is what I am going to do.
I have got to make video games. The only way I am going to get better is by failing, making a lot of mistakes and overcoming those mistakes. I will not have made a game if I don’t ever try making a video game.
It does not matter if its not a good game. All I want to do is see if I can program a computer game, make the art and music for it. So I need to start making a game.
The Art of Assembly Language programming. I don’t remember exactly how much of the book I read but, I do remember reading it.
I had wanted to read the book ever since I learned about High level assembly language. So one day I installed the software on my computer. Assembly language is so cool. I like learning about all the registers and the hardware of the computer.
But, I never attempted to wrote my own program in high level assembly. And that is what I needed to do so I could remember what I read.
That is the problem the whole time I have been trying to program. I don’t make software. And to me that is the whole point of learning to program. And if I write a program then I will be able to know what I don’t know so I can get better as a programmer.
They only way to get better at designing and making games it to make a video game.
