With programming its like a lot of things I do

I want to do everything. And when I try to do everything I get nothing done. I tried a lot of programming languages and never stuck with them.

As I have written before what is the point of learning to program and making no programs. I wanted to make programs that is why I am learning to program. Its been 14 years and I have not made my own program that anybody lies.

I have not even made my own program. I need to make a project. I want to make a program. Just to say that I made one. Not that i talk much. Who would I tell that i wrote a computer program. Probably no one.

But, I want to make a program. So that is what I am going to try to do. Enough English  writing its time for computer code writing.

I might have already written a post about

Contra. Oh, well. I am going to write another one. I don’t know when I got the game. I don’t know where I first played the game. Maybe one of my friends had the game and I played it at their house.

I beat the game. Sounds great doesn’t it. A confession. I had to use the cheat when was up up down down left left right right a b start. The cheat when something similar to that.

It gave me 30 lives instead of the normal 3. And there must have been a continue after 30 lives were used so I probably had 60 lives to beat the game. I must have tried to beat the game with the normal amount of lives. I probably did not come close.

I don’t remember much about the game.  Except that it was one of my favorite game for the NES. And I do remember that for the final boss I had to bead a beating heart. I don’t know what I was fighting against in the game or what the heart represented.

I do remember that it was a great feeling to defeat the heart. I beat the game several times. It was that great. I am sure if I had an NES and Contra that I would adore the game even now.

And I just remembered you could have one or two players. I beat the game playing by myself and playing with another player. This was at a time when you had to go to a friends house if you wanted to play Contra with him.

That is as much as I can remember about Contra for now.

Yesterday I thought about the

fact that I owned a wireless controller for the NES. I don’t know why I got it. What was wrong with the controllers that came with the console.

Maybe I got it because its what everyone else had. I don’t know if it played the games better than the wired controllers. I think it took 2 AAA batteries. I don’t remember how much I used it.

I also wanted a power pad but, I never go one of those.

Gosh I can’t remember a lot about the NES, Why I got games or the wireless controller if I ever had a reason for getting anything. Its a mystery.

Double dribble for the NES

I owned double dribble for the NES. I don’t know if a new version of double dribble came out ever year like sports games do know. I don’t remember. I don’t think the game used real players or teams.

I don’t even remember if I played through an entire basketball game. Or a season. I doubt I was any good at the game.

I do remember liking the game. I think it was the half time show of double dribble. I don’t remember much about the game.

I was going to write that double dribble was the only sports game I had for the NES. But, I did have mike Tyson’s punch out, rad racer, excite bike.

Oh, and I do remember my cousin had a running game that used the power pad. Now that was fun. I am sure I was not any good at the running game either. I am not athletic even in video games where all I have to do is press buttons.

I don’t remember how many NES

games I had but, it must have been a lot. Today I am going to write about Mike Tyson’s punch out.

Before I got my own copy  of the game I used to rent it. I am sure I rented it every chance i got. I don’t remember how much it cost to rent it. Or how many times I rented it. But, rent it I did.

My favorite boxer was king Hippo. I remember a friend and I had trouble beating him so we called the Nintendo tips hotline. I would never do anything like that now. I would want to figure out how to beat him on my own or watch someone play the game on twitch.

I remember beating the game once. It was fun playing winning the game. Mike Tyson was great. I have no idea how I beat the game. I must have been lucky. Or the game was easy to beat. Which I don’t think it was.

I saw a man stream  of a man doing a speedrun of the game on Twitch. I don’t know if I could keep starting the game over and over. But, it is a fun game.

I liked the music in the game and the sound of punches landing. I have not played a boxing game on a newer system then the NES.

I sat in front of TV for a lot of hours having fun playing Mike Tyson’s punch out. What a game. I have not played it in oh, 20 years. or a little more.

Jackal is one of my favorite NES games

I was trying to remember what a game I liked on then nes was called. And yesterday I figured out it was called Jackal. It was one of my favorite games on the system besides rad racer that is.

I am sure the graphics would look not so good now but, I bet I would still enjoy playing the game. I only got to level 2 of Jackal but, I kept playing the game anyway. I have no idea how many levels the game has but, its save to say it had more levels than 2.

I liked the Jeep that as the player I drove in the game. I don’t remember what I had to shoot at but, I am sure I had fun. As a matter of fact I am not even certain that I made it to level 2. I sure thought I made it to level 2.

Thinking about how bad I was at playing the games its no surprise that I am not a professional video game player. I have fun playing video games but, I am not the best at them. Maybe I don’t practice enough.

All I remember at jackal is the jeep and having fun playing the game. Other than that I don’t remember much of anything. At least I remember the name of the game now. Jackal. Jackal. jackal. Write it 3 times and I am sure to remember it. I am sure I will forget the name by tomorrow.

I can’t remember the third NES game I

got for the console. I wish I had wrote it down so I could remember. I wish I had kept a diary of my life at that time so I could read what I thought and what I did through out the day. I cant go back and do that now.

Today I am going to write a little about rad racer. I remember that my cousins had the game before I got it. So I probably wanted the game a long time before I got it.

I don’t remember if you can choose only one type of car or another type. And I was not that good at the game. She I think I may have beat the game but, I had to use a cheat. I think it was where I pressed A start when I was out of lives. Maybe if I had thought about the game more I would not have needed the cheat.

It was so fun having the car race along as fast I could get it to go. I did not like it when I flipped the car car over because I could not make it around a turn. I spent hours playing the game. Maybe driving a real car on a race track is more fun but, with Rad racer I could not get injured in a car crash.

What else can I wrote. I think the graphics were not bad for a 8 bit game.

Today I want to talked about

the NES. I remember I got mine for Christmas of 1988. I had probably wanted one since the console came out. The console came with super Mario brothers and duck hunt.

I am sure I hooked up the console and played it as soon as I opened the wrapping. I am not sure which game I played first. I wish I remembered.

When I played duck hunt I would put the plastic gun controller right up to the screen. And I still was not that good at duck hunt. I did enjoy playing the game. I wish I had tried harder to be good at duck hunt.

As for super Mario brothers I never beat the game. I am sure I made it to the fourth level. That’s all I can remember. I know I did like the game. probably played as Mario the most. I would say Luigi was my favorite of the two. I liked that he wore green instead of red.

I also want to learn about

machine learning and computer security.

I think making a computer program that can write songs would be fun. And there is also genetic programing. There is so much I have to learn about programming. So many exciting things.

I also want to put up a website. what that website will be about I don’t know. Or if I will ever get the website built I don’t know.

I get so excited about a lot of things. Then I realize that I have to put in the work to get good at the hobbies I want to get good at.

With programming

I think what if I had started making programs a long time ago when I got my first computer. I would be a lot further along with programming. I might be making my own programs by now.

It took me years of on and off use of blender to start making projects with that program. And now I want to program. So its time to make projects with python and pharo. I want to forget what could of been and start making projects.
