about myself or maybe I think it would make me feel happier.
Maybe I think I would like using computers more if I were a good programmer. But, there must be great programmers that don’t like computers, who don’t feel good about themselves, who wished that had chosen some other profession besides programming a computer.
So being a better programmer would probably not make me like computers better or feel better about myself or do much of anything except allow me to get a job as a programmer.
But, I am sure I think well if I were a better programmer I would enjoy everything more, flowers would smell better, the sun would look better, bird sounds would be more stunning.
I suppose I wanted to program in the first place to make games, and then I learned about machine learning. And I like that to.
Though I don’t think I wanted to learn how to program to make myself feel better or that it would make me feel better about myself.
And if I never become a passable programmer its not the end of the world. There are lots of things to do in the world.
I wonder if I would regret it if I never become a good programmer. Probably not. There are other things that I like better than programming.
Such as cooking, gardening, astronomy, learning about world war 2, drawing, making music.
So I don’t know what I am getting at in this post. Maybe its that I want to stop thinking that programming is a magical pill that when I get good at it my life will suddenly be so much better.
