Wrap around mode, vertical mode, horizontal mode, the multi brush tool. Because I want to learn how to make patterns with krita. Well I want to learn how to make anything in krita.
Sure I can use the congruous selection tool, and the eraser but, I don’t make anything with them.
I am not sure what patters I will make but, patterns I will make.
There is so much I have to learn when it comes to making computer art. I might as well get started learning.
I looked in the image menu and did not see anything to reside an image. So I watched part of tutorial. Then I looked in the image menu and saw resize canvas and scale image to new size.
So I tried resize canvas and that certainly did not do what I wanted it to. Then I tried scale image to new size and that was what I was looking to do.
So now I know how to crop, erase, and resize an image or a canvas. At this read I will be a krita power user in maybe 500 years give or take 10 years.
I made a youtube banner for my Computer graphics novice youtube channel. The wood and paper texture are from images I made with leonardo.ai.
Its the first project I have made with krita unless you call cropping and deleting backgrounds projects. I am proud of myself. It makes me laugh writing I am proud of myself. Maybe I should say that to myself more often.
I learned how to duplicate layers and use drop shadow. I did not think the drop shadow worked. Then I realized maybe I have to check the box to the left of the words drop shadow. Then it worked.
I also learned how to use the love and transform tools which I have never used before in krita.
You know making projects is fun. I should do it more often.
crop images, remove backgrounds, and erase what I could not remove any other way. I think I like it better than gimp or inkscape.
At first I did not think I would be able to learn how to do anything in krita. I was wrong. at
I hope that I learn how to make images with krita. Something I never really learning to d o with gimp or inkscape.
So that is what I want to do next learn to make images with krita. Specifically pixel art for games.
I want to learn krita so then I only have to learn one program instead of 2. I don’t know how long I have know about gimp and inkscape but, its been at least 12 years. And I have not done much with either one.
And I want to make raster and vector images for games so I thought learning one program instead of 2 would be better so I don’t have to learn so much since I can make raster and vector images with krita. At least I think I can.
Yesterday I learn how to use kritas contiguous selection tool. And today I learned how to use the eraser tool and the crop tool.
The crop to was confusing to me. In gimp all you have to do is select that part of the image you want and press in the middle of the cropped area and its cropped.
Where in krita I need to select the area I want to crop and then press enter to crop the image.
So I have learned a few things about krita that I use already. I like it.
With blender and krita. I had wanted to follow along with a blender pixel art tutorial but, I never got around to it.
The reason I want to make pixel art is I want to know how to make it and if I ever get around to designing a video game being able to make pixel art might come in handy.
Plus I was thinking of what to post about and I could not come up with any idea so I thought let me write about wanting to make pixel art.
I probably should just worry about making any art. So maybe this year I will make some pixel art. I hope I do.
I had the an older version of Krita but, had never used it. I had heard about Krita awhile ago and wanted to learn how to use it. I have never even opened the program until today.
I think its supposed to be more like photoshop than gimp. Gimp is another program I have wanted to learn to use but, never done much with.
I am not sure what I can do with Krita but, I want to at least make some art with it. I figure it would be better to know how to use krita so that I can use it for maybe making textures for models I make in blender.
