a programming using pharo. I first started out using squeak then I switched to pharo. I have probably been using some version of smalltalk for about 15 years. And I have not made anything that anyone would want to use.
I did solve a project euler problem using pharo but, that is about all. Well for 2022 I want to make a program with pharo because I have always wanted to get good at pharo. I hope I get that done.
I don’t know that it will happen. I will try. When I first started blogging I wanted a popular blog. Now all I want to do is have a blog so I can write. And maybe some people will read a post or two.
If I did not have a blog no one would ever read what I write so I might as well have a blog.
a little. I don’t want it to end up being like blender. When I first used blender I thought I had to do tutorials until one day I finally I could start to make a project.
What I should have done was follow a blender tutorial and make my own project. It took me probably at least a decade to start making my own projects in blender.
I have been reading how to make a game. And the book talks about analyzing games. That is a thing I need to improve on. So I hope I will.
for dummies. And wow, there is so much I have to learn about data science.
Anyway I got excited reading the chapter about websites where I can get data. I only wish I was good at data science so I could use the data.
One website I learned about from the book was data.gov. Which is a website with a government data. The book also said they have contests which made me like it ever more.

are my goals for next year. Yesterday I wrote that I want to watch all the James Bond movies in 2022.
I remember that one of my goals for 2021 was to watch a movie ever day and review it on internet movie database. I did not make that goal. I have watched a few movies this year and review them but, not anywhere near the 365 I wanted to. Wait I probably wanted to watch two movies a day. Or was it over a thousand movies in 2021?
One thing I did is read more books than my goal was for this year. I wanted to read 12 books. Well I read over 70 books. I don’t know if I want to read that many books in 2022.
One thing I want to do in 2022 is have more fun. I worry a lot about working hard. I am not sure if I live up to that. But, one thing I never thinking about is that maybe life should be fun also.
So for 2022 one of my goals will be to have more fun.
And another goal will be to have confidence that I can do more than I think. For a lot of things I do I think oh, it won’t work out. But, how do I know unless I try. I don’t have a crystal ball to tell the future. So I hope I have more confidence in 2022.
James Bond. I have watched at least one James Bond movie all the way thought but, I don’t remember the name of it and I can’t tell you any of the plot.
On Christmas I used to watched the James Bond marathon’s on spike TV. But, I don’t think I payed much attention to the movies.
Reading the book made me want to watch all 24 Bond movies. Its probably 25 Bond movies by now.
So for 2022 one of my goals will be to watch all the Bond movies and remember the plots. I wonder if I will get it done. I hope so.
a bumble bee queen on an lavender blossom. So it is not even the end of the year and I saw a bumble bee queen already.
Last year I saw a bumble bee queen at the end of February. Actually it was this year. Oops.
Bumble bee queens are big. I was surprised to see them so early.
Also early this year I found a bumble bee nest. Sure all I could see with the bumble bees fly out of the entrance but, it was so exciting to see them take off and land and go back in the nest.
I don’t know when bumble bees are supposed to start their nests in my area. For that matter I don’t know what type of bumble bee I was looking it. All I am pretty sure about is that it was a bumble bee queen that I saw. And it was big.
talks about using git for to keep track of my game code for my game. I have used git and I have git repositories and I have tried to learn git but, since I don’t use git a lot I forgot most of what I learned about how to use git.
In the book it says game developers were unable to use git until sever years ago. I think it was because of some of the large files such as textures, sound that are used in game. But, git got a new feature and then game developers were able to use git.
I can even use git to make my game and push it to online stores. I don’t think the word was make the game. It might have been render the game.
So there is a lot of cool things I can use git for for game development. Now all I need to do is make a game.
do I want to build? Well I have never built a video game that anyone wants to play so I must be doing something wrong. In fact I have never finished a game. I think I have a big dream of making a great game. But, I need to make something. So I think I should make a small game.
Sports games are my favorite genre of video game. Maybe I could make a one on one basketball game. I always liked playing one on one in NBA live 2003.
I had the idea of wanting to build a boxing game staring oatmeal breakfast. But, I am not much of a boxing fan. Though mike tyson’s punchout was one of my favorite games to play on the NES.
So I think I will see if I can figure out how to make a basketball video game with godot.
about what a game design document is and shows some examples. Awhile ago I watched a video that had a link to a game design document. But, I never filled in the game design document template. I probably thought it was to hard.
But, the examples of game design templates in how to make a game do not look that complicated. So I think I will be able to make a game design document. I want to make a game design document and get started on a video game.
