as I remember it I went wild with installing compilers and interpreters on my computer. I thought I have to know how to write code in as many computer languages as possible.
Never mind that fact that I did not have all the time in the world to learn ever programming language that there was or is.
Oh, and never mind the fact that I had not learned even one programming language. I was fascinated about trying programming languages.
Now looking back on it I think what is the point of learning how to code hello world in as many programming languages as possible. What good is a programming language if you don’t know it good enough to make anything useful.
I needed a project. I needed to program something and make it better. I needed to make a game even a small terrible game just to get the experience of writing my own programs.
I don’t want to spend all my life reading books about programming and never knowing how to make any of my own programs.
Make things. Make things. Make things.
