D programming language

I was searching my brain for other programming languages I have dabbled in and I found one. I tried using the D programming language. I don’t remember how long I used it. I am sure I compiled a hello world program with d. That is probably about all I did.

You know what would have been better than only writing a hello world program in a few programming languages. Writing programs that people want to use. Have people fork my programs on github or follow me on github.

I wanted to program when I got a computer. Now I don’t think computers are as great as I used to but, I like them OK. And I want to build a program that one person uses. That will be my new years resolution in September. I am going to write a program that within 20 years someone will use. Hopefully.

Today I want to say that I

enjoy watching people play video games on twitch.tv and mixer.com. Back in the 1990’s I read that Sega wanted to create a video game TV channel. At least I think I read something about that. I think it was supposed to a channel you could watch on a TV. It probably would have had people playing video games or video game news. I liked the idea.

I enjoyed watching madden challenge and Eleage on TV so earlier this year I read twitch for dummies and signed up for a twitch.tv account and started watching streamers. And I enjoy it. Watching other streams stream video games makes me want to stream my video game players.

I have not streamed yet. And not to long about when I read that Ninja went to mixer I signed up for a mixer account and started watching streams on Mixer.

My favorite streams to watch are streams who stream madden NFL, NBA2k 20 pretty much any sports game. As I have written before i like the sports video games more that I like watching sports Television.

I also enjoy watching streams like Laboratory424, Dr_NIXIE where the streamers build electronics. I also like watching skFroi when he streams even though I can’t understand Spanish that well.

Fortran Programming language

I have also tried fortran. I believe I used the open-watcom fortran 77 compiler. I also program read a page or two of a wiki book about fortran. I had visions of becoming a great fortran programmer.

The amount of time I spent with the fortran compiler was what dashed my hopes of fortran greatness. I never spent much time using the fortran compiler.

Maybe I am dabbler in programming languages. Maybe all I like saying is that I tried this or that programming language. Maybe I don’t want to put in the work to be a great programming.

When I wrote put in the work it made me think of maybe I do not want to put in the seat time to become a great programmer. Since if I did want to be a great programmer I would have to spend a lot of time siting.

Or I suppose I could use a standing desk.

Mortal combat Deadly Alliance

I had mortal combat deadly alliance for the Nintendo game cube. I am sure I was not good at playing it. I am sure I had no idea about the plot of the game.

My favorite character was sub-zero. What else can I say about the game? I did enjoy playing the game. I wish I would have tried harder playing the game. I wish I had tried harder to be better with all the video games I played.

To me it would be a great thing to be good at video games. Sure its not as hard as being a mathematician or a doctor. But, it I want to be a decent video game player. I want to be the best video game player I can possible be.

Lisp programming language

Lisp is another programming language I have tried. I installed on my computer. I had read an article about Lisp being a powerful. So I thought why not try it. I must have read a tutorial on the lisp in a box website. Wrote a hello world program. And that was it. Lisp was then gone for my life for good.

I might want to try Lispbox eventually.

Forth, programming language

I know I played around with a forth programming language IDE. I don’t remember which IDE is was. Maybe it was Gforth I did not use forth very long but, I did read a page or two of a tutorial.

Logo programming language

Yet another programming language I tried is Berkeley Logo. I think I read about the logo programming language was in Dealers of Lightning. Seymour Papert  was fascinating to me. So I had to try logo.

So I read some of a book on the Berkeley logo website. I might have even learned how to move the logo turtle around.  Then one day Logo left my life for good. I never looked back.
