a website about my video games. I think
I am going to have to think about what kind of video game I want to make. And since I like to play sports video game I thought why no make a sports video game. And I like basketball so why not have it be a basketball video game.
So I want to think about making a basketball video game. I am not sure that I will be able to make it but, if I don’t try to make a basketball video game I will never make a video game. And I want to make a video game. If only to see that I can make a video game.
make my own sports video game. I don’t know how I am going to do it. It sounds like games I want to make. Now for the easy part. All I have to do is make video games. Which I have never done by the way.
Another game I had for the Nintendo game cube was Tom Clancy’s ghost recon. I read a review review of of Ghost Recon in a magazine and thought the game would be fun to play. So I got the game.
I did play ghost Recon a little. I do like the game. I was not very good at the game. I wish I had tried to get better at the video games I owned. I was satisfied with being a mediocre video game player I suppose. I want to play Ghost Recon again and improve.
I also had Metroid prime for the Nintendo game cube. i think I saw a review of the game in a magazine. The review said the game was good so that must be why I got the game.
The game did not disappoint. My playing of the game did disappoint. One of my favorite things about the game was the sounds and music during game play.
The store where I got the game was giving away one of those walk-through guides for metroid prime. I did not want to read it. Look back I should have read it. Forget my pride. I would rather beaten the game. Or maybe not.
I had Super Mario Sunshine for the Nintendo game cube. I liked the game. The problem was I not good at it. Like most video games I play. I am not even sure I got to the second level. I probably went around in circles trying to get to the next level.
I did enjoy watching a little bit of a Super Mario speed run on twitch.tv. I saw levels of the game I had never seen before. I wonder if I would be good at speed runs of video games? I doubt it.
Mario’s character was adorable in the game. the graphics were nice. i want to try playing the game again. I know I can do better.
Cobol programming language is a programming language I wanted to try but, never have. Because I could not figure out how to install a Cobol compiler on my computer. Maybe that is a good thing. Do I really need to know how to program hello world in another programming language? No.
I can’t remember where I first read about Cobol. But, I did read that grace hopper was involved in the making of it. I also read that she was the person to coin the turn computer bug because there was a bug in a printer that stopped the printer from working.
Maybe I will try Colbol one day but, I doubt it.
When I got my first computer it was windows XP. But, I always wanted to run Linux also. Personally I don’t have a problem with windows. I just wanted to run Linux.
I had dial up so I could not download a distro and burn it on a CD. Sad. Later I found out about Ubuntu linux around the time it fist came out. At that time they were sending out free CD’s in the mail. So I got 3. When Ubuntu arrived in the mail I loaded it in my CD ROM drive and tried to use it but, I could not get it to display on my computer because of some problem with x server I think. I was disappointed.
Another Linux distro I tried is Damn all Linux. I was able to download it and burn it on a CD+RW. And I was able to get to use it on my computer. It was fun to try but, the problem was that I could not get on the internet because I had no idea how to use the operating system with a dial up modem. I was happy but, wished I could have surfed the web.
I had know about puppy Linux for years before I finally installed it on my computer. I liked puppy because it was so small. And I was overjoyed that I was able to surf the internet using Linux. I had no idea how to install programs or do much else with Linux but, I was using Linux. I had achieved a goal. Later I learned how to install programs and for the programs I wanted to use the instillation was not that hard. Luckily.
a website I put on geocities. So I have made something with html, and css. Though it only had a picture and links. And I am sure it never go any views. And I did not work on it much of at all after I uploaded the website.
Actually I think its the only website I ever put on a web host. I think I did put some web page on another web host. But, I never thought much about the design or what I wanted the website to be about.
ABC programming language. i installed a compiler for my computer. i don’t think I used ABC for long and I never wrote a program with ABC. I do like the name of the programming language.
to make a video game but, I have not yet made a video game. All my video games are unplayable video games because I have not made a video game.
I read invent your own computer games and some of Making games with python and pygame. i also read some of program arcade games with python and pygame. I don’t practice making video games everyday so I forget what I learned from those books.
