Chess pieces

The king can movie one space in any direction. The king can’t jump over another piece.

The queen can move to any space in any direction. The queen cannot jump over another piece.

The rook can move to any square to the left, right, forward, backward. The rook cannot jump over another chess piece.

The bishop can movie diagonally to any square. As long as it lands on the same color square it started on. The bishop cannot jump over another chess piece.

The knight can move 2 spaces forward and then one space to the left or right. Or the knight can move one space forward and 2 spaces to the left or right. The knight is the only piece that can jump over other chess pieces.

And the pawn can move one square forward. On the paws first move it can move two squares. The pawn can’t jump over other pieces. And the pawn can’t move backward.

I wanted to write the chess pieces names and how they can move. So there are 6 chess pieces. At least i can remember that.

I will now repeat the chess pieces I know

about. The king can movie one square in any direction. Then queen can move in any direction as many squares as I want to move it. The rook can move left, right, backwards, forwards. The bishop can move diagonally as many squares as I want to as long as its the same color square it started on. The king, queen, rook and bishop cannot move over other chess pieces when they move.

I now know

the names of four chess pieces. King, queen, rook, bishop. And I even know how they can move. Now all I need to do is play a game of chess.
