The recipe was from a big old cook book that we hand. I doubt I memorized the recipe.
I remember that I made the sugar cookies though. I don’t remember how often I made them or how many I made. I think I double the recipe that was in the cookbook.
So maybe I made at least 2 or 3 dozen sugar cookies. I used a rolling pin and sometimes I put the dough on a plastic mat we had. I would put flower on the dough when it got sticky.
I also would put frosting on the sugar cookies. I don’t know if I put frosting on them ever time I made them. Maybe I did. Probably the frosting was mostly powdered sugar.
I would get cookies that were thin and crispy or thicker and soft. Sometimes I might have even under cooked the cookies. Not because I wanted to but, accidentally.
I suppose I liked the crispy sugar cookies. But, I really liked the softer thicker sugar cookies.
I would put the cookies on 2 wire racks to cool. And then put them on a plate.
I don’t remember the last time I made sugar cookies. I bet sugar cookies are the only type of cookies I made.
I also could have made chocolate chip or oatmeal cookies but, I don’t remember making those.
I wonder how many sugar cookies I have eaten in my life. I wish I had counted.
