I want to learn to memorize playing cards using the PAO

That’s person, Action, Object method. One thing I have always had difficulty with playing cards is remembering what suit is clubs and which suit is spades. At least I know the difference between hears and diamonds.

I don’t know why I have difficulty remembering the difference between spades and clubs. But, it has always confused me. So that is one thing I have to learn if I want to learn to memorize playing cards.

I suppose it might be the fast that I have not played cards much. Years ago I would play games like go fish and war. I might have known the different between spades and clubs back then but, I can’t remember if I did or not.

I will learn the difference. Its not that hard.

I have yet to cook anything this year

But, I hope to start making things soon. Its so exciting thing about dishes I could make. There are so many things I have never cooked. There is so much I don’t know about food. So much I want to learn. So many foods I want to try.

Anyway I wanted to talk a little about my favorite cooking shows. I have 3 favorite TV cooks. Julia Child. I don’t know which cooking show of hers I first watched but, I probably started watching her in the early to mid 1980’s on PBS.

Recently I listened to an audio book about her called Dearie: The remarkable life of Julia Child by Bob Spitz. Julia is always entertaining to watch.

The second cooking show I like is Girl Meets farm. When I started watching the cooking show I did not know that Molly Yeh had a blog or a cook book. Its always interesting to see the dishes that molly makes.

And the third cooking show that I like to watch is Amy Schumer learns to cook. I am a fan of Amy Schumer’s comedy so I could not wait to watch her cooking show. Its was on late where I live but, I did not mind staying up to watch Amy Schumer try to cook.

I want to follow a blender semi truck tutorial

That I have attempted to make my way through two times before. I don’t know what year my first attempt was but, I did almost finish the semi truck. But, I never finished the model.

On my second attempt to finish going through the tutorial I did not get nearly as far. At least I don’t think I did.

And then a few days ago I decided I wanted to try to make a semi truck again so I found the tutorial and started making my way through it.

Right now I am on part 7 with about 10 minutes to go in that part. I made some mistakes while modeling the semi but, I was able to correct my mistakes.

And also now I have learned to put a video on say 1.5 speed so I can get through a blender tutorial faster. In the first 2 times I tried to go to this tutorial I watched the videos at normal speed.

So I hope I will finish the semi truck this time.

Regular home renovation simulator

I read an article about regular home simulator on kotaku. I thought oh, it would be nice to play someday because its free.

So I went to the site and downloaded it and then realized it was a video game made with godot. I thought cool its made with godot.

The game has music and you can use different tools. I was able to fix some things in the house. But, I probably am not that good at the game.

I would have never thought of making a game like this with godot. If everyone was like me there would be no video games because well I have never designed or built my own video game.

Sure I have followed tutorials to make a video game with godot but, I am sure its a lot more fun to come up with an idea for a game, design it and make it in godot without following a tutorial.

Years ago I thought oh, it would be fun to learn genetic programming

so I started reading a book about genetic programming and probably about a week later stopped reading it. I probably did not even finish the first chapter of the book.

Its another programming thing I wanted to learn about but, I never got very far in learning. So I hope maybe this year to learn more about genetic programming and maybe write my own genetic program.

At least I want to learn more about genetic programming. Time will tell if I do that.

AI powered tools

I read a fast company article about AI powered tools. I had heard of ChatGpt and Dall-E but, have yet to try those tools. I hope to use them someday.

I had not heard of Autodraw , or Avia. Avia is an AI tool that creates music. So I have got to try it. Maybe it will help me to write music that people will listen to. Or at least be fun to see what kind of music I can make with it.

I had also not heard of AI dungeon which creates text basket games.

So I have not tried any of the tools yet though hopefully someday I will give them all a try. AI sure looks fun.

I am reading a book about how to play Texas Hold’em

called Texas Hold’em for dummies 2nd edition by Mark Harlan. Years ago I read about a man who made a living online playing poker and living in south America. So I thought how cool would that be. And I used to follow poker players on twitter and I have watched poker on television. And I have always wanted to get better at playing pokerTH.

I learned about pokerTH years ago and back then I used to play it maybe everyday for a week then I got tired of the game and stopped playing it. I don’t think I ever won a hand in pokerTH.

So I saw there was a dummies had a book on Texas Hold’em. I wanted to read it then I thought wait a minute I don’t even like watching Texas Hold’em on television so why do I want to learn how to play it.

Then recently I thought why not so I got the Texas Hold’em book to read. Who knows if I understand the game more I might like it. At least I want to see if I can learn the game and win a hand or two in pokerTH.

Rubik’s cube art

I learned about this Rubik’s cube art from a kim komand video pick. I have always wanted to learn how to solve a Rubik’s cube but, have yet to learn. The idea of using Rubik’s cubes to make art had never occurred to me. And what amazing art it is.

Maybe I will try making Rubik’s cube art. Its so cool looking.

Yesterday I watched 42 minutes of GDQuests 2d-dodge-the-peeps godot tutorial

The is the point that I had watched the tutorial last year and I had completed the 2d-dodge-the-peeps game up to that point also.

Watching the video I started to wonder how am I ever going to remember enough of godot to make my own games. But, if I keep working at it and practicing everyday I probably will get the hang of it.

Its a new year and I want to start it off by working with godot almost everyday so that I can start making my own video games with godot this year.

Last year I watched tutorial videos on how to make games and even finished at least one of those tutorials. The flappy bird tutorial on skillshare is the tutorial I finished.

I started following a tic-tac-toe tutorial but, making a tic-tac-toe game in godot is harder than I thought it would be.

This year I want to design and make my own game with godot. I don’t know if that will ever happen but, that is my plan. So I will see how things turn out.

I am reading the bees in your backyard

A guide to north America’s bees by Josephy Wilson and Olivia Messinger Carril. I don’t think I will be able to remember a fraction of the wild bees I am reading about but, its always interesting to read another book about bees.

To date I have read over 20 books about bees. I am pretty sure I am at least over 20 books about bees. In one of those books about bees I remember reading that there are over 4,000 published books about bees.

So if I read 100 books about bees a year it would only take me 40 years to read all the bee books. And by that time I am sure there would be a lot more books published about bees.

For me 100 bee books would mean that I would have to read nothing but books about bees for the next 40 years. That would be reading about only bees for a lot of years. That is if I could find all the books written about bees.
