And I think it came out OK. I thought if I only know how to use gimp I could make a texture for the football field with the numbers and lines and all I would have to do is make a plane in blender and then add the texture.
I don’t know how to make a texture in gimp so I made all the lines and numbers in blender. At least I worked on my own project. I think that is a good thing. Instead of always following a tutorial.
Now all I want to do is make a football player to go along with the football. And then maybe a football field and a goal post. Then maybe I could make an animation of a kicker kicking the football through the goal posts.
I like node wrangler. With it I was able to easily put a texture on the football. I probably should learn more about nodes though.
I wonder if I will actually get that done. Probably not but, its nice thinking about it.
So I am having fun thinking about the basketball court I made last year. So now I am working on a basketball player. I have never actually made clothes for a human figure before so its fun learning how to make low poly clothes.
I used to not like low poly models but, after retro bowl I don’t mind anymore. I hope to get the basketball player finished tomorrow.
And I realized I had never thought about how it is made. I thought it was maybe like sausage where it had to be cooked. At least I think sausage needs to be cooked.
When I was younger we used to eat salami, with cheese, crackers, pickles. I used to look forward to that. The food would be sliced up and all I had to do was put together what I wanted and eat it.
I probably had not thought about Salami in years. So while thinking about salami I thought it would be nice to make some of my own.
So I want to make my own salami and also make my own sausage. Maybe I could do regular and meatless versions of both.
First I watched a blender chain link fence tutorial so I could make a chain link fence. It was fun making the fence.
So I deleted the fence that was around the basketball court and put the chain link fence. I put a subsurf modifier on the fence posts to make them round. Then made them taller.
I thought the chain link fence looked better than the fence I originally had around the basketball court.
I want to make a gate and add a top rail to the fence like chain link fences I have seen.
Then I want to change other parts of the basketball court.
And recently I was thinking I wanted to make a basketball player and maybe I could make a short animation of the player on the basketball court. That idea excited me.
Along with the basketball court the tutorial I followed to make the court also showed me how to make a basketball. So I have got the basketball and basketball court already made.
Now all I need to do is make the player. And I also would want to make buildings around the court.
I checked and yes I do know where the court and baskeball are. So that is good. So I want to changed the surroundings of the court.
I will see if I do anything with the basketball court. Time will tell.
Now I am following a nice cream cone tutorial which I found on linkedin. I have finished watching 3 vides so far.
The ice cream cone I and the sprinkles that I made look OK. But, the ice cream I made could use work.
After I finish watching the tutorial I want to make a different style of ice cream cone.
For the game consoles I had it seems to me that the games I played the most were basketball video games.
My favorite basketball game was NBA life 2003 for the nintendo game cube. I don’t think I was very good at playing that game.
I probably kept switching teams so much that I never played a full season or made it to the playoffs.
What I should have done is play as my favorite NBA team the golden state warriors and see if I could win the championship.
I don’t know how many seasons I could have played in franchise mode but, I think it would have been good to see if I could win the title.
So I hope that one day I can get good enough at godot to make at least a simple basketball game.
Oh, that reminds me one of my favorite modes in NBA life 2003 was one on one. That was fun.
Which is version 1.2. And I also started reading Inkscape beginners guide. I have know about inkscape for years and years and never really made anything with it.
I hope this is the year that I finally make projects with inkscape. Though I probably won’t make anything with it this year even though I want to.
I will try my best to see if I can learn inkscape this year.
Which is what I wanted to do at the beginning of the year. I enjoy writing a blog. Not that I have anything interesting to write about. So I hope to keep up the pace in February.
