I streamed on twitch for the first time today

Here is my twitch channel. My twitch channel

I don’t remember what year I read twitch for dummies but, it has to be at least 5 years ago. And later I also read twitch for dummies 2nd edition.

I wanted to stream on twitch but, I could not install obs on my computer. At the beginning of the day I am certain I was not going to livestream on twich by the end of the day.

I decided to make a new gmail account and wanted to put something on it so that is probably why I thought about obs and streaming on twitch.

So I got obs on a computer and then watched videos on how to set it up and stream on twitch.

I streamed sudoku and canabalt. I solve a sudoku puzzle almost everyday but, I had never heard of canabalt before today. I thought the name was cannon ball until I looked closer.

So I streamed sudoku 2 times and canabalt 3 times on twitch.

I watched a video on how to eport twitch videos to youtube. And was able to do that. What a fun day today.

I don’t have microphone or a webcam but, at least I can have the audio from the video games I play.

I hope I keep streaming on twitch and putting the videos on youtube.

I want to do some programming on xenial puppy

So as I said I installed devx on it. But, have not tried to upload to git or made any programs yet.

And don’t know what I can do with devx. I hope to find out.

I did try to run rebol veiw but, there was an error. Rebol core seemed to work though.

I hope to try pharo on xenial puppy.

And other program I want to see if it works or not is obs studio. I don’t know if it will work. I will try.

I also hope to use blender and krita in puppy linux.

Maybe it says something about my life or lack of a life that I am so excited about using a new version of puppy liux.

I also hope to learn bash.

So now time will tell if I do the times I mentioned able or not. I hope I get around to all those things.

I installed a new version of puppy Linux on my 2 laptops final part

I thought everything would go smoothy. It did not.

So I went into xp and used rufus to create a bootable usb drive of xenial64 7.5. I went to the dell and tried to boot into puppy. Nope. There was an error. so I went back and burned slack64 on my usb drive. I got the same error when I tried to boot it up.

I thought I have messed everything up. I had a new fun operating system and I screwed it up and will not get it back. Why couldn’t I leave well enough alone. Sure bionic was slow but, at least it worked.

So I got on the internet. Rufus thought my usb drive was a cd drove. So I looked up the problem and found that I needed to reformat the USB. So I went into xp and reformatted the USB to fat32.

Then I used rufus to create a bootable USB of xenial64 7.5. Then I went back to my dell laptop and to my relief it booted int puppy Linux.

I had been so upset because I did not have another big enough USB and could no get one right away.

I used palemoon to get seamonkey 2.53, godot, and devx. I also created a save file. And xenial puppy seemed to be a lot faster on my dell laptop than bionic had been.

Also the reason I did not install the new versions of puppy on my dell or Panasonic laptop was because I did not want to lose all my old data if I messed something up and also I could carry that operating system around with me. And I thought if I hard drive failed I could still use my computers.

I was happy to find that godot 3.5LTS works on my laptops. I tired godot 4.2 and that did not work. I am not sure if 4.0 would work. I have not tried it us. Now I can use godot on my laptops. Which I thought was cool.

The end. So now I get to fool around with a newer operating system and websites that did not load previously now load on the new version of puppy.

I installed a new version of puppy Linux on my 2 laptops part 3

The laptops are a dell xps, and a Panasonic toughbook by the way. The toughbook came with windows xp and the dell came with windows vista.

So onto more of my story. So the exciting day came when I tried creating the usb bootable. I chose to do bionic64 puppy. I thought that the desktop background looked so cool and the operating system looked so cool.

I got on the internet with it which is could because I am not sure everything would work. Oh, I booted bionic up on the dell laptop. Which is the laptop I said had sat around for awhile. I am surprised it still works.

Then I had to wait a few days to try out puppy. I could not wait. So I tried firefox. And everything worked great except that the next day after some firefox updates the browser would not start.

So I had to look for a different browser. I had tried netsurf but, that did not start up. And when I updated palemoon it would not start either. By that time I had created a 1gb save file on the usb. So I did not have a usable browser.

So I deleted the save file and logged into puppy. I got a hold of the newest seamonkey 2.53. And it worked good. So I created a new 1gb save file.

And I used that for about a day but, was unhappy with how slow everything was on my computer.

So I decided to try a different version of puppy linux.

I installed a new version of puppy Linux on my 2 laptops part 2

So recently I because obsessed with installing a new version of puppy Linux on the 2 laptops. why I did not want to upgrade earlier I don’t know.

So I booted into widows vista and found that I used burncc to burn the puppy iso. I thought somehow I had made a bootable usb with another program. I was wrong. I made the bootable usb with puppy linux after I ran it the first time.

So I started looking at programs that would make bootable usb. Programs such as ventoy and rufus.

So I tried ventoy on slacko puppy 5.7 but, I could not get it to work. I thought I was never going to be able to install a new puppy on my laptops.

Then I wanted to try rufus but, did not have a computer to install it on. So I thought. Then I realized that I may not have new versions of windows but, I could install rufus on xp or vista.

So I looked up which versions of rufus were comparable with xp and vista. And I downloaded rufus version 2.17 I think. And ran it in xp.

Now all I needed was a usb drive since the biggest usb I had was 64MB. Oh, I had installed tiny linux with rufus on that drive. It booted up to a gui on one of my laptops but, the other laptop only had a console.

And that reminds me I thought one of my laptops could not boot from a usb drive. I was wrong. Why I thought that I have no idea.

So I got a hold of a 4GB usb drive. And I downloaded versions of puppy I wanted to try on my external hard drive and put those versions on the windows machine.

I installed a new version of puppy Linux on my 2 laptops part 1.

My laptops are from 2009 I think. One has about 2 gigabytes of ram and the other has 3 gigabytes. That is not what I thought they had. I thought one had 512 megabytes of ram and the other had 1 gigabyte of ram. I don’t know why I thought they had so little ram. I am glad they had more ram than I thought they had.

One of the laptops came with windows xp, and the other one with windows vista. And in about 2014 I needed a new operating system because windows was ending security updates for windows xp.

I had know about puppy Linux for awhile. I am not sure when I had found out about it or even how. And I had been obsessed with running Linux on my computers. So it was much chance to try Linux.

Both of the laptops have dvd drives but, one of them was/is broken. So I used the one with the good dvd drive to download and burn a cdrw of slacko puppy 32. And then when I ran puppy I made a bootable usb for the laptop that had the bad dvd drive.

Also I installed puppy on the hard drives of both of the laptops. And I have used that version of puppy on the laptops ever since. Though one of that laptops sat around and did not get much use for awhile.

One thing I also learned about my laptops is that they are both 64 bit. I thought one was 64 and the other was 32. I was wrong. Both are 64 bit because I can run a 64 bit version of puppy Linux on both of them.

One probably I had with Slacko puppy 5.7 was getting a modern browser. I was running palemoon 28.16.0 which was the last 32 bit browser for Linux. And it does not load websites that it used to.

Also I don’t remember why I chose Slacko 5.7. I don’t remember if there were other versions of puppy Linux on their website at the time. I am almost sure that were though.

I learned about KolibriOs a few days ago

I think I saw it on a post on stack overflow. I believe I was looking up assemblers that I could use online on a website.

I have not installed kolibriOs but, I hope someday I remember to try it.

I do have puppy linux on two of my computer but, I am sure that they don’t boot up as fast as this operating system would.

I uploaded flappy bird san francisco to itch

I finished going through the flappy bird godot 4 tutorial and then I wanted to change the game. So I used leonardo.ai to make the background and obstacles.

The background has a row of houses and a sky scraper. The obstacles are street lights.

I had been wondering how to use leonardo.ai to make game assets and I finally figured out how to. I used gimp to remove the background of the AI generated images and resized the images.

I also changed the color of the ground to black and yellow to symbolize danger. And I added background horror music to make the game spookier.

I also edited the theme for the game page on itco.io.

And I decided to call the game flappy bird san francisco.

I finished watching the flappy bird tutorial yesterday so

my flappy bird game is finished I just have to put in sound. At least the game works. I am excited about the game because I figured out how to use leonardo.ai for game assets. I made the background and the obstacles for the game with AI. And I also used gimp to color the ground like caution tape.

Its so fun to be making things instead of always saying next year I will make a game or programs something. I hope I get better programming though I am not sure I ever will be able to code anything on my own.
