I used to post to unplayable games everyday. That was over 2 and a half years ago. And you know what I like writing a blog post daily. It gives me something to thinking about. What am I going to post about today? Is what I wonder when I am thinking about what to write about on the blog.
I think last year I said I wanted to post everyday. That did not happen. I hope this year is different. I hope it is.
or really world war II anything in blender gets me excited. Though I also want to make games with godot 4 and also I want to play games.
Yeah I also want to play games about world war II. I don’t know if I have time to do all those things.
Get better at blender, godot, playing video games. Oh, and there are a lot of other things I want to learn.
I read somewhere about Warren Buffet saying write down 25 things you want to do. I am not sure exactly what he called them. Maybe he said write down 25 goals. Then throw away 20 of them and keep 5.
Then after you accomplish those five goals you can do some of the of the other ones. I know this is not exactly what he said.
So I have been thinking what are the top five goals or things I want to do in life.
I came up with cooking, growing plants, making video games, learning about astronomy and learning about world war II.
I think those are my top 5 goals. If I were to add 6. The sixth goal would be get better at math.
I know how to use obs a little but, I also think it would be interesting to learn how to use simple screen recorder. Since I had never tried it before.
I also looked at the documentation and was surprised to learn that I can also stream on twitch with simple screen recorder. I did not know I could stream on twitch using it.
The video I recorded was not very long. So I hope to learn to use simple screen recorder better.
1935 Yokosuka jean. I don’t remember if I finished a project in blender last year. I doubt it. Unless it was a tutorial. This year I want to make my own projects in blender.
For the the modeling part in blender is not so bad. Its the materials and texturing that I have a problem with. All those material nodes.
However I do enjoy making projects in blender so this year I hope I make more projects. I like learning about world war II so I want to make models related to world war II. So I hope I model lots of military cars, planes, trains, and whatever else related to world war II and military I can think of.
There are so much I need and want to learn when it comes to blender. And I can’t wait to learn the program better.
And another thing I am not very good at is python scripting in blender. Well I am not very good at writing python in general. I think that know how to use python with blender would make me a better blender user so I will put that on my list of things to learn.
So much I want to learn this year and only 365 days to do it. Well its less than that number of days now.
I have gotten though most of the courses on kaggle but, I had to use the hints to do it. I wish I had struggled with the problems more instead of using the hints when I got stuck.
So hopefully this year I will go through the kaggle courses again and other machine learning courses and read lost of code from notebooks on kaggle so that by the end of the year I will be better at machine learning.
I don’t know when I first got interested in machine learning but, it probably started with reading machine learning for dummies first edition.
I think it came out in about 2016. I have had a kaggle account since then but, I have not done much with it.
So I hope that this year I will get better at machine learning. Because I think machine learning is so neat.
that I got I think it was blender 2.83 to start up on a computer that I had been only able to run blender 2.79 when using slacko puppy 5.7.
I was excited because I was able to use a blender version with the new interface.
I wonder how I was ever about to use blender 2.42. Not that I used that very much. But, blender 2.42 compared to blender 2.80. Well the new interface is a lot easier to use. Which might be why I use blender more than I used to.
I think in blender 4.0 its easier to add reference images than it was in blender 2.42 or blender 2.79 for that matter.
Anyway when I tried to render an image with blender 2.83 well my computer seemed to slow up. So I don’t know if it is capable of rendering an image with evee.
At least I can use blender to model on my old laptops. I guess I will have to be satisfied with that.
on linux xenial64 7.5. I was excited about that. I thought cool now I can make some games well at least watch some godot tutorials and follow along on my computers.
Then I tried running a scene in goodot and my computer seemed to freeze. Or maybe it was taking a long time to show the scene.
Anyway I was disappointed. I was hoping to use godot on my old laptops. But, I don’t think I will be able to.
At least I tried.
I was on my dell xps laptop and using fossapup 9.5. One problem I did have is that I could not download the ca.crt file because I had uninstalled palemoon. So I restarted my computer and booted up fossapup9.5 again.
Since I was not using a save file everything that came with puppy was installed. So when I tried to download the ca.crt file for the certificate it worked. Palemoon popped up to allow me to save the file to downloads folder.
Then I imported the certificate into firefox and set up the proxy in firefox. And I went to different websites and the http history showed the requests and responses. I thought it was so cool looking at the requests and responses.
I thought I would never get caido set up right. I am glad I was wrong.
I have no idea how I got zap or burp suite set up in slacko5.7. I suppose I figured it out somehow.
So now all I need to do is learn about ethical hacking. Since I want to learn about it. And I am sure there are a lot of other tools I will want to learn how to use.
At least I got caido set up right.
I knew that I could install krita with quick pup. However that is an older version of krita. And I wanted the newest version of krita which is 5.2.2.
So I was thinking about krita then I thought wait a minute didn’t I saw an appimage file on krita’s website. So I looked and there was an appimage for linux. I thought good.
So I downloaded it and made it executable and clicked on the file and it started up. I was using fossapup and on my dell xps laptop. I did not have enough time to try making anything in krita.
Not that I would now how to make anything. However at least I know I can use the latest version of krita in puppy linux. Neat.
I use git cli to upload my godot projects to github though I would not be referred to as a git power user. Or is it super user.
In the git cli I know how to cd to a directory. I know how to add files to t he staging. I know how to commit and I know how to push my code to github. That is about it.
Once I did try to add a remote repository. That did not work out.
At least I am using git. It cool uploading my code to github. Even if no one but, me reads it.
I have only ever used a git cli. I have never used a git gui. The cli is fine with me.
So this year I hope I get better at git.
