I used a principle volume shader to make the fog. That is one thing I learned from the tutorial. Also in one of the videos after the course videos Grant says he likes to watch a tutorial at the beginning of the day. I like that tip.
It probably took me about 2 weeks to get through the tutorial.
called the man from the future. John Von Neumann was a mathematician among other things. In school I passed math class though I did not do very well. I only did the homework I was assigned. I never read any books about math or probably even read my math textbook.
I suppose I thought what good or what would math be when I got older so I did just enough to pass and no more. I did that with all of the subjects.
Anyway reading the man from the future makes me wish I had worked hard at math. Gotten through the textbook before the school year was out and read books about math.
It makes me wish I were great at math like john von Neumann was. Because math is cool. Who knows maybe I can learn math before I get to old.
Anyway I like math a lot more than I used it. Though I doubt I am any better at it. Only now I want to be better at math.
and javascript videos. I don’t know if I will ever become good with either one. I suppose as I have written before I want to learn web developing so that I can learn hacking. I don’t have a huge desire to learn web design. I would rather hunt for bugs.
But, I have not worked with html, css or javascript enough to know if I am good at coding them. So who knows I might have a talent for web design. I highly doubt it.
So in the videos I learned about the font properties, how to include custom fonts, sizing, padding, margin, border properties.
Its sure nice that I don’t have to memorize everything otherwise I would be in trouble. Tough I do want to improve my memory so maybe it would be a good thing if I had to remember all the properties.
I hope to make a swimming pool in blender. And I could do a fence. The area surrounding the pool. So I hope it will be fun and come out good.
But, at least I made it. It was not that hard to make either.
I did not type in any of the code in pharo. So I am on page 175 of the book. So I getting through it.
I have never used a trait in any program I have made. Probably because I have not made that many programs in pharo.
To I like it when I run a test and the light turns green. I need to get a lot better at writing tests. And I need to build a lot more programs.
But, at least I am reading pharo 9 by example and I can upload pharo code to git.
a linked learning class I am working through called python for non-programmers. I had searched for a website where I could write python but, I could not find one to my liking.
Probably because I am not that good at using a search engine. I was glad to learn about replit. In addition to python I can also use other programming languages including lua and love2d.
I played as Jacksonville on extreme difficulty.
My first game was against Indianapolis. I ran the quarterback a lot. I threw an interception but, was close to the goal line when time ran out. I lost the game 13-8.
I resigned and than traded 32 year old 1 star defensive lineman Conor Hollins for a 3rd round pick in the draft.
I drafted Linebacker Malcom Abram with my first pick. He is 4 stars. I traded 2 star 36 year old quarterback Grady Winters for a second round pick in the draft. I drafted 3 and a half star quarterback Javelin Anger with my second pick. With my Third pick I drafted Linebacker A.J. Jacobs. He is 3 and a half stars. I drafted 1 star tight end Erik carter with my third pick. I drafted 2 star linebacker Richard Ojulari with my 4th pick.
I have a 2 and a half star defense and a 1 and a half star offense.
My second game was against Houston. I threw 3 interceptions. I was shutout 28-0. On the plus side I did like my quarterbacks throwing range.
My third game I won 16-8. I ran the quarterback a lot. He is faster than the quarterback I traded. My running back also had some good gains. And I did not turn the ball over.
For my fourth game I played Denver. I ran with the quarter back a lot. But, I made sure to throw a little. I also like to convert 2 point conversions by running the quarterback.
So anyway I scored on my first drive and ran in for the 2 point conversion with my quarterback. Denver took the ball down the field tried a field goal and missed. So it was 8-0 at half time. Or that might have been in the 3rd quarter when Denver missed the field goal. They got the ball at the start of the 3rd quarter.
On my second drive I scored a touch down and ran in the quarterback for a 2 point conversion. Denver did not have enough time to do anything. So I won the game. That’s 2 games in a row.
It sure helps when I don’t turn over the ball.
Which is about P.T. Barnum. I learned about Tom Thumb and his wife Lavinia Warren.
One other person I learned about was Jenny Lind. Years ago I grew a melon called Jenny Lind. I think we even harvested one or two. They were not that big. The melon was thought to be named after her.
