about today. I want to learn html, css, javascript, php, and Sql. I already know a little about all of those languages but, I want to know more. The more I know the better. I hope. I am sure that learning those I will be a better ethical hacker.
Episode 246: OatmealBreakfast plays a video game

Its fun to play video games I
have never played before. I thought I knew video games. Now I know I don’t know anything about video games. All I knew about was a few console video games. There is a world of video games out there that i don’t know anything about.
Finally I was able to install
OWASP ZAP. I read about it in web hacking 101. So of course I downloaded the sh file. That went well but, I knew it needed a java virtual machine. And i had no idea how to install that.
I did download jre and tried to install zap but, it said that I needed to set a I can’t remember the exact thing the shell said. But, I did not know how to set it.
The shell said I needed to set INSTALL4J_JAVA_HOME to point to a suitable java virtual machine. I looked online and tried to change that that variable I guess its a variable. And I was able to get the zap installer to run but, when i tired to run zap it would not work right.
And I could not even figure out how to start up zap. So I watched a video that said I needed to type zap.sh. And I tired that but, zap would not start. I got two errors and it said that I needed java 8. So I used puppy package manager to install java 7. I ran zap.sh again and I did not get the 2 errors but, I did get that it needed java 8 to run zap. I thought there is no way I am ever going to be able run.
So I figured why not sure the internet for java 8 puppy Linux.And what do you know I fond a java 8 .pet file. I downloaded it. Installed it. And then typed zap.sh in a shell and what do you know zap started up. I as overjoyed. I had never thought I would ever be able to use zap. And here I was about to use zap. Cool.
So I watched a video tutorial about how to set up a browser to use zap. And I was having fun. I was able to see the traffic in zap.
I always doubt myself. But, on this occasion I had set myself the goal of getting zap installed. And what do you know I got it done.
Let the games begin. I wanted to learn how to use a proxy and now I am going to be able to learn. I hope I can find some bugs. I will see if I ever get any good at ethical hacking.
There are three
things I wanted to learn more about this year. 3D printing. I read a book called 3d printing for dummies.
The other thing I wanted to learn more about was astronomy. So I read astronomy for dummies.
And the third thing I wanted to learn about was Robotics. I have read books on robotics in the past but, not this year.
To me it would be amazing to go outside at night and look at stars through a telescope or binoculars. Or maybe I could observe sunspots during the day. The universe is an amazing place. And I want to observe the stars.
As for 3d printing I thought maybe I could someday design and build a 3d printed radio control car. There must be other things I want to 3d print. But, for sure I want to design and print Radio control parts.
And as for Robotics I am not sure what type of robot I want to build. I will think about it. Or maybe I will forget about it? Who will know. Who will care? Answer only me.

I want to learn seaside
I want to learn seaside which is a smalltalk web development framework. I want to read dynamic web development with seaside. I have worked with seaside a little but, never stuck with it. So now I hope to learn how to use seaside.

Machine learning I don’t know much about it
I want to know more about it. I have read machine learning for dummies twice. And you I have not done anything with machine learning.
It must be that I tell myself OatmealBreakfast someday you will get to it. Someday you will make that neural network that you want to make. Someday. To be honest I don’t know if that day will ever arrive.
I do know that I want to use pharo and python for machine learning. And I do want to make a neural network that writes songs. So that I don’t have to write songs. Ha.
I don’t know if I will be able t make a neural network. I do want to try. I might also want to try R. The list of new things I want to try never ends.
