program so I can’t learn every programming language. I know that now. And since I want to see if I can even program I need to start programming. I have said that for years now. It doesn’t matter if I ever make my own programs. I just want to try.
I hope to use pharo, python, javascrip, and scheme. Or I could just focus on learning one of those programming language. I hope to write a line of code a day.
to work through pharo mooc. I had watched one video some weeks ago and then forgot all about it. And yesterday I remembered.
I hope if I made it thought pharo mooc that It will help my programming. Its worth a try. I wanted to work though the mooc and that is what I want to do. I hope I will get though it.
That I am a decent pharo programmer. I am not that now. I have used pharo off and on for years. I have only read books about pharo programming. I have never really made my own computer programs in pharo. And I want to. So hopefully next year or this year I will get around to making my own programs in pharo.
What type of program do I want to make with pharo. I could make a website. How about machine learning, or a game. I will think about it.
programming problems on code chef and project Euler I enjoy solving programming problems but, choose to do other things with my time. I hope to make time next year to solve more programming problems on code chef and project Euler. I to learn machine learning at kaggle I have got plenty to do now all I need to do is get things done. Maybe that won’t happen. I thought about getting things done. Is that good enough?
And that goal will be to write one line of code a day. But, first I need to learn how to design the program I want to make. So I will make a flow chart. I need to write code if I want to program. I might to accomplish the goal. I will try.
problems. By the way I have not finished it. Anyway I enjoyed solving the problems. At first I would think there is no way I am going to solve this exercise. Then the next day I would have the answer to the problem.
I heard about project Euler maybe about a decade ago. I have not made my way through many of the problems on the website. I want to solve as many of the problems as I can. I doubt I will be able to sold many. I will try.
I found code chef using a search engine. I want to see how many problems I can get through on that website.
neat to design my own programming language and name it after myself. Of course I have not designed my own programming language. That is no surprise. For that matter I have not done much programming.
At least I know what I would call a program if I ever got around to designing a programming language. That has got to be 1% of the battle. Now all I need to do is the other 99%.
When I got my first computer it was windows XP. But, I always wanted to run Linux also. Personally I don’t have a problem with windows. I just wanted to run Linux.
I had dial up so I could not download a distro and burn it on a CD. Sad. Later I found out about Ubuntu linux around the time it fist came out. At that time they were sending out free CD’s in the mail. So I got 3. When Ubuntu arrived in the mail I loaded it in my CD ROM drive and tried to use it but, I could not get it to display on my computer because of some problem with x server I think. I was disappointed.
Another Linux distro I tried is Damn all Linux. I was able to download it and burn it on a CD+RW. And I was able to get to use it on my computer. It was fun to try but, the problem was that I could not get on the internet because I had no idea how to use the operating system with a dial up modem. I was happy but, wished I could have surfed the web.
I had know about puppy Linux for years before I finally installed it on my computer. I liked puppy because it was so small. And I was overjoyed that I was able to surf the internet using Linux. I had no idea how to install programs or do much else with Linux but, I was using Linux. I had achieved a goal. Later I learned how to install programs and for the programs I wanted to use the instillation was not that hard. Luckily.
a website I put on geocities. So I have made something with html, and css. Though it only had a picture and links. And I am sure it never go any views. And I did not work on it much of at all after I uploaded the website.
Actually I think its the only website I ever put on a web host. I think I did put some web page on another web host. But, I never thought much about the design or what I wanted the website to be about.
Lisp is another programming language I have tried. I installed on my computer. I had read an article about Lisp being a powerful. So I thought why not try it. I must have read a tutorial on the lisp in a box website. Wrote a hello world program. And that was it. Lisp was then gone for my life for good.
I might want to try Lispbox eventually.
