There are so many things I want to do

I want to learn how to program. I want to learn how to use blender, gimp, inkscape, program in python, pharo. I also want to learn graphic design, fashion design, web design, how to make soap, how to make kites and fly them.

I want to drive RC cars and planes, and boats. I want to read at least 12 books a year, I want to write. What else do I want to do? Probably a lot of things I have not thought of or heard of yet.

I want to make soap, and perfume, and learn how to cook new recipes, I want to learn more about plants and botany, math, biology.

For me its always fun to learn something new. I don’t think I make much headway on my goals of what I want to learn. So if I can’t learn everything I want to that will probably be fine with me.

Enjoying thinking about all the things to learn might be good enough.

I am sure I have written that I want to play flight gear

I would rather fly in a flight simulator than buy my own plane and fly. Real flying seems as if it might be a lot of work and expensive.

So I was thinking about flight gear and I thought maybe I could read the source code. I want to read more computer code and if its from a game I like I am sure that is all the better.

Yesterday I was using code blocks IDE

Two of the programming code blocks can be used for are c/c++. Programming in c++ made me think of the book sams teach yourself C++ in 21 days. I remember I got that book way back in probably 1999. That was 5 years before I got a computer.

Why did I get the book when I could not use it. I have no idea. But, I did read it when I got a computer. I don’t believe I did all the examples in the book and I certainly did not keep practicing or building programs in C++.

Oh, how I wish I had stuck to one language when I first got a computer. And powered through the tough stuff. I might be a decent programmer right now. Or maybe not.

Earlier this week I tried

Android studio. And I learned that its complicated. I also learned that one of the programming languages it uses is Kotlin. I had never heard of that programming language before. And another thing I learned is that I also need to know XML to develop android applications.

I want to learn how to use android studio however there are a lot of other things I want to learn before that. So I don’t know if I will ever get around to learning it.

Anyway I know that at least I can develop android games using Godot. So at least I can do that. I have not used godot that much so I want to get back to using it more. Thinking about what games I want to make is fun.

Though it is frustrating not knowing how to make the games I want to make. So I have got to get practicing godot.

I finished A Grant Abbot beginner tutorial

I used a principle volume shader to make the fog. That is one thing I learned from the tutorial. Also in one of the videos after the course videos Grant says he likes to watch a tutorial at the beginning of the day. I like that tip.

It probably took me about 2 weeks to get through the tutorial.
