a website about my video games. I think
to a house that had a pool table. And sometimes I would play pool. I was not that good. I supposed I liked pool. Its exercise without having to walk or ridge a bike somewhere.
So sometimes I think gee it would be fun to learn how to play pool. I think I would want to learn different games. Mostly though I would probably want to learn to do trick shots.
So another goal of mine is to learn pool someday.
Well I am about to read it. I have not started reading it yet.
The last book I read about blender was called blender for dummies. I think it was from 2011. Back when blender had a different interface. I might have done some of the examples in the book. Actually I think its the only book about blender I have read.
I figure reading a book about blender will help me get better at it faster. Since until recently I had not used blender in moths. And before that I wouldn’t say I was great with blender.
I remember when I first started using blender I also wanted to use wings3d and a 2d animation program I can’t remember the name of right now. I suppose I could learn more than one animation program. Right now learning blender is what I want to do.
Probably if it were a few years ago I would have wanted to learn as many game engines as I could. And then I would probably have never made anything with any of them.
I think I have finally learning that there is not time to learn everything. So I have to limit which computer programs I want to learn.
parking lot tutorial. It was slow going but, I am making progress. I made the red and white lines on the outside of the parking lot. And I also made a building. I put colors on both things I made.
And also I watched more of the blender python scripting course. One cool thing I leaned is that in the script editor I could write print(“Hello world”) and it would print hello world to the blender console.
And another thing I thought was cool is that I can drag the blender.exe file over a windows powershell window the path to the blender.exe file would show up in powershell. Then when I press enter blender would start.
So instead of having the blender console I would have a powershell console. And if blender crashes the powershell would still stay open. And evidently that could be helpful.
And I also worked on the login program in godot.
So I had a lot of fun today.
in blender. Oh, and I downloaded the never version of blender that came out today. Its blender 3.1. Its so fun to be using blender again. Not only blender but, the newest version of blender the day it comes out. How cool is that.
I am also still working through a blender python tutorial. I don’t know what I will be able to build using python in blender. I will see. Maybe I can code an add-on. I don’t know.
the chicken jump animation I want to learn how to use grease pencil for 2d animations. When I first started using blender the grease pencil was for making notes I think. Anyway I did not use it more than one or two times. So I will see if I can learn grease pencil.
Animation course on skillshare. And then rendered it. I was surprised that I had to spend so much time in the dope sheet and graph editors. I thought I would have spent most of my time inserting keyframes. Instead most of my time was spent tweaking keyframes. I put chicken jump on my twitter. Its only a second long. I said in the tweet that I let the chicken go to high in the frame. I was wrong. I did not let the chicken go to high.
and as I was reading the book was talking about a subject to write a screenplay about. I though I don’t have anything I want to write a screenplay about.
Then I started thinking about the things I like. I know that 2 things I enjoy are RC cars and video games. So I could start off writing a screenplay about one of those subjects.
I don’t have to write a screenplay that will be a hit movie. I want to write a screenplay that I enjoy. Write the screenplay for myself.
And then I could turn it into a short movie using blender. That sounds like a lot of work. So I will see what I can do.
Today I downloaded blender version 3.0.1. The last version of blender I used was version 2.78. So the never version of blender’s interface looks a little different than the one I am used to.
I don’t think I ever was that good at blender. I have a lot of room for improvement that is for sure. One thing I want to do is be able to make animations for my music.
screenplay. I even read some screenplays that I downloaded from simply scripts. I even wrote a few pages of a script. Then my desire to write a movie script petered out.
I only have so much time in the day. And for me I would rather write a great song than a great movie script. Though I do like to write.
So I am back to wanting to write a screen play. I want to write a movie screenplay since I enjoy watching movies more than I do watching television.
There are only 24 hours in a day so I don’t know if I will ever get around to writing a script. And even if I do I might never write a good one. Its fun thinking about writing a movie script though.
