I watched a video

about how to grow a vanilla plant. I have seen a vanilla bean pod on cooking show on tv. I have never seen a vanilla bean pod in person.

Until I read a book about growing tropical fruits in pots i had no idea what the vanilla bean pod came from.

One of my favorite flavors of ice cream is vanilla ice cream. I don’t think I eat to much else that has vanilla flavoring.

I still would like to grow a vanilla plant so that I can harvest my own vanilla bean pots. I think it takes about 3 years from getting a plant until I can harvest. Plus the plant vanilla plant looks pretty. So I hope that one day I grow a vanilla plant.

What do I want to

write about today? I watched a video about tea plant. As I am sure you don’t know I used to drink tea. I also read a book that talked about how to grow tea in a pot. So I think it would be fun to grow my own tea plants in pots and harvest the leaves and make tea out of it.

Maybe I could even make my own oatmeal breakfast tea brand. The sky is the limit. failure is infinite.

Garlic

I remember that years ago I grew garlic. I don’t know how big of a harvest we got or how the garlic tasted or how we used the garlic. But, I am almost certain that we grew garlic. I think it was only one year that we grew garlic. I don’t know why we stopped growing garlic.

I watched a video about garlic and was learned that I can grow garlic in pots. I never thought about growing garlic in pots. I thought how cool I can grow garlic in pots. I have got to try that.

One of the things I like is garlic powder so if I ever grow garlic I have to learn how to make garlic powder.

Maybe I could even learn to make garlic ice cream. I have never tried it but, why not. I also like garlic bread. garlic spread on sourdough loaf is great either uncooked or put in an oven and cooked. I have not eaten in garlic bread in years.

I remember watching on a cooking show a garlic bread recipe. That was years ago. Maybe I could write a song about garlic or garlic bread.

I watched a video about

the difference between sweet potatoes and yams. I was surprised to learn that sweet potatoes and yams are not the same thing. Like sweet potatoes I don’t ever remember eating plain old yams.

And I certainly have never grown yams. I was surprised to learn that yams can take almost a year to grow. That made me thing what if a yam planet I grew got attacked by insects or a gopher, or deer. How disappointed would I be. The yam plant takes so long to grow. Its amazing that people are able to grow it and harvest a crop.

Sweet potatoes

I want to grow sweet potatoes. We have grown potatoes before but, we have never grown sweet potatoes.

As far as eating sweet potatoes goes I have eaten sweet potato pies but, I have never eating a plain old sweet potato.

I know they take a long time to grow. I saw a video of a man who grew sweet potatoes in pots. So I think I might start growing them that way if I ever do grow sweet potatoes.

One thing that surprised me watching the video is that evidently the sweet potato leaves are edible. I never knew that. So maybe I could eat the leaves in addition to the tubers.

Gummies

I don’t know if I wrote about gummy worms or gummier bear when I wrote about candy awhile ago. So I thought why not wrote about them.

Gummy worms and gummy bears are so chewy. I don’t remember how often I used to eat them but, know I did eat them. I also remember sour gummy worms. I think I ate those also.

Recently in a store I saw fast food gummies in the shape of hamburgers. And there french fries in the little cardboard container they are served at by fast food restaurants.

Writing about gummies makes me want to eat bags and bags of them.

I think once I even tried to make my own gummy candy out of jello. I bet it tasted good. Jelly and gummy can’t what could be better.

I don’t have a favorite flavor of gummier worms or gummy bears. All the flavors taste good.

I grew kale years

ago. I remember that I grew two types. Russian Read but, I can’t remember the second type of kale I grew.

I am sure I picked it and ate it. Did I like it. I have no idea. It must have been OK. Maybe it tasted li taste like swiss chard.

I liked the russian red variety of kale because of its purplish stems. I hope I grow kale again.

I am glad I found out

that internet archive has video games. I don’t know when I found out that internet archive had video games? Probably years ago but, I had no reason to play the games.

I have never played this many different video games. For all the consoles i maybe had 50 video games to play.

Now I could play 50 different video games in 50 days. Its fun to play video games that make up video game history.

I thought I know something about video games before I started Oatmeal breakfast plays a video games. Now I know I don’t know anything about video game history.

I try to think about what I

want my video games to be like. I thought about what I want dragon hunter to be like. I want to try to make it a text game with oatmeal breakfast as the person the player controls.

I have not played text video games much so I don’t know how they should play but, I want to try to at least attempt to make a text video game. I also want to make a video game with pygame.

So I have got my work cut out for me.

For almost everything new

I try say making my own music, drawing and pretty much anything else. I tell myself if only I had started this earlier I would be great at this right now.

Its the same with programming. If I had started making my own programs the day I got my first computer and got on the internet I bet I would be great at programming now. Instead I am still trying to make a program anyone wants to use.

So this is the year I hope I make a program.
